About Us
Our Organization
The Burnet Youth Football League (BYFL) was created by a group of parents that recognized the need for a league that provided a competitive arena for first through sixth graders. The organization is part of the Hill Country Youth Football League that includes competition with teams from other areas such as Liberty Hill, Llano, Marble Falls, Lampasas, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Smithson Valley and others.
The Burnet Youth Football League is a non-profit organization, established in May of 2009.
Opportunity
Competitive sports give children the opportunity to work hard towards a common goal with teammates. Each child will be afforded a level of competition not recognized in regular recreational type programs.
Goal
Our goal in this Association is to promote the wellbeing of each and every participant within the program. We believe in four fundamentals to instill in these young athletes.
* SAFETY - Participants in our program will learn and apply proper safety techniques to reduce the risk of injury.
* TEAM WORK - Participants in our program will learn how to play and cheer as a team through discipline and regularly scheduled practice and conditioning.
* SCHOLASTIC EXCELLENCE - We stress the importance of academic achievement. We adhere to the "No Pass, No Play" concept and view effort within the classroom as priority over effort on the field.
* HAVING FUN - We strive to create an environment in which all participants (players, cheerleaders, parents, coaches and opponents) can enjoy the tradition of competition.
